Gregory J. Walsh, Partner
Greg Walsh was born and raised in New Orleans. He graduated from Spring Hill College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. After working for two years at a small public relations and marketing firm in New Orleans, he attended Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, graduating in 1998. Greg then went to work in the civil and commercial litigation sections of a regional defense firm in New Orleans, where he litigated a wide variety of civil and commercial cases, including life, health and disability insurance claims; ERISA claims; contract and lease disputes; premises liability claims; products liability claims for motor vehicle, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers; construction claims; and casualty claims. He is licensed in all Louisiana and Mississippi state and federal courts.
At The Sundmaker Firm, Greg has generally focused his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, secured transactions and foreclosures. He represents local, national and international financial institutions in consumer and business bankruptcy proceedings, and in associated adversary proceedings, in Louisiana and Mississippi. He represents secured creditors in foreclosure proceedings involving real and personal property.
Additionally, Greg assists clients with real estate and construction lending, floor plan financing and motor vehicle dealership acquisition and financing. He also defends national insurance companies in life, heath and disability claims. He represents individuals and small businesses in lease and contract disputes, and both owners and builders in construction claims.
Greg is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association and the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees. He has served as the president of the New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center’s Board of Directors and has volunteered with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project’s Self Help Resource Center and the Homeless Clinic at the Harry Thompson Center.
